Building a case for a Bitcoin ETF

A bitcoin exchange traded fund can help legitimize the industry to a broad spectrum of individuals who do not fully agree with or understand the crypto-asset. Some believe that an approval will also allow individuals to safely invest in a product that will be regulated and overseen. According to the former Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission: CFTC, Timothy Massad, he said: "A bitcoin ETF would be a way for retail investors to invest in cryptocurrency without having to actually purchase it and deal with the complexities of custody," he went on to mention that such a product could "enhance transparency and integrity" for the bitcoin space.
